Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 May 2026
1. Who we are
This privacy policy explains how ABC Works (“ABC Works”, “we”, “us” or “our”), based in Ireland, collects and processes personal data when you visit https://www.abcworks.online (the “Website”) or contact us. ABC Works is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the Website.
For any privacy matter you can reach us at hello@abworks.online.
2. The personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to share with us, or that is generated automatically when you visit the Website:
- Contact details you provide when you email us — typically name, email address, business name and the content of your message.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL and pages viewed, collected through standard server logs and any analytics tools in use.
- Cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 7 below.
3. How we use your personal data
We use personal data to:
- respond to enquiries and arrange discovery calls;
- provide, manage and improve our services;
- operate, maintain and secure the Website;
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Legal bases for processing
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (“GDPR”) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests — to respond to your enquiries, run and secure our business, and improve the Website, where these interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Performance of a contract — to deliver services you have engaged us to provide, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract;
- Consent — for any non-essential cookies or marketing communications, where required;
- Legal obligation — where we are required by law to process certain data.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, email, hosting, analytics and website infrastructure providers), under appropriate contractual safeguards;
- professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where reasonably necessary;
- regulators, public authorities or courts, where required by law.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Enquiry emails are typically retained for up to 24 months unless an engagement begins, in which case client records are retained for the duration of the engagement plus any period required by law.
7. Cookies
The Website uses only the cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to make it work and, where applicable, to measure aggregate usage. Where any non-essential cookies are used (for example, analytics or marketing cookies), we will request your consent in line with the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336/2011) before setting them. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
- request restriction of processing or object to processing;
- request portability of data you have provided to us;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@abworks.online. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie) if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No internet transmission is ever entirely secure, but we work to maintain suitable safeguards proportionate to the data we hold.
10. Children
The Website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the updated effective date.
12. Governing law
This privacy policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, the GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.
